After receiving formalized training and required certifications, serves as an Operator/Technician of the CCSM monitoring system. Performs highly technical confined space duties during turnarounds and projects at client sites, remotely monitoring workers inside of confined spaces and will be responsible for monitoring and protecting said workers. In doing so, stay alert, and be able to identify hazards inside and outside of the confined space. Have the knowledge to respond to workers’ questions, oversee all CCSM monitoring system capabilities to ensure the system is functioning properly, maintain accurate headcount within the space, ensure gas detection stays within acceptable limits, evacuate the space in the event of a system issue or failure, evacuate the space in the event of an emergency, contact proper rescue and emergency response personnel in the event of an emergency, maintain permits for each confined space, maintain permit requirements for each confined space and ensure they are being met. Performs maintenance, repair, cleaning and inspection on all CCSM components and various types of life safety equipment and gas monitoring systems. Returns monitoring equipment to active status within established time.
