The Chewonki Camp for boys is the primary program out of several that the Chewonki Foundation offers. I worked and lived here for two sessions (two months) with a boys from age 8-14. My position as Art Director entailed leading and organizing the art activities everyday, maintaining the space. I designed fun activities for the kids to do, ordered the necessary materials, and supervised these activities. I was also a co-counselor for a cabin full of 12 year old boys who it was my responsibility to supervise (and entertain) when the activity hours were over. It was an amazing way to spend my summer and an experience I will never forget.
