Capstone project: Built and analyzed a data set to cross-reference ad-spending and voter engagement to measure the efficacy of political ad-spending in the 2022 election. Analyzed data on political advertising (spending, which markets received the most advertisements) and compared it with corresponding voter engagement measures (individual political donations, volunteer sign-ups, voter registrations). Used SQL to clean and organize the data using SQL, then used the Analytic and Ranking functions to determine the correlative values. I found that both parties spent more money in swing states than in partisanly calcified states. In general, this increased spending did not lead to increased voter engagement compared to states where less money was spent on advertising. Languages: Conversational Spanish.
