About Eli Kurlander

I am a fourth-year honors student at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, pursuing a major in law and public policy with minors in public management, environmental management, and Spanish. At the core of my academic and professional endeavors lies a profound desire to contribute to positive change. That passion is reflected in both my professional pursuits and my active involvement in the Indiana University community.I serve as the Director of Operations & Vice Chair of the Indiana University Funding Board, ensuring that student organizations receive the funding they need to host events, attend conferences, and add unique value to campus. I also serve as a member of the Student Advisory Board for the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, where I perform research and provide guidance on initiatives spearheaded by the Vice Provost's Office. My passion for creating positive change is underscored by my professional endeavors. This past summer, I interned in Washington, DC with Bristol Myers Squibb. Previously, I interned with the US Department of Transportation (Federal Railroad Administration) and two environmental nonprofits, Seaside Sustainability and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful. From Indiana University to the broader national stage, my endeavors reflect a consistent drive to enhance communities. If you're driven by similar aspirations or simply wish to share insights or opportunities, I'm always eager to connect!
