I am a web developer in San Diego specializing in non-profit solutions for the web and currently focused on Drupal and CiviCRM. Current projects include server administration, website planning and development, and Drupal/CiviCRM customizations. I strongly believe in using the best tool for the job, and not over-building systems for what they need to do. I focus on open-source tools first, but only as long as they continue to deliver the best combination of features, flexibility, and value.

I managed the nesea.org project which uses Drupal 7 as a CMS and CiviCRM as our CRM database. I worked closely with consultants to keep the site up to date, rescue features not working as intended, and develop new features based on organizational needs. I assisted staff in managing contact data with best practices, organizational standards, etc, and provided lots of staff training on how to use the tools. I also took care of the office hardware, phones, and network.I was previously the Speaker Coordinator at the Northeast Sustainable Energy Associaton, where I organized the speaker logistics for both of our BuildingEnergy conferences, in Boston and New York City. I also supported our BuildingEnergy Bottom Lines Whole Business Networking program, and managed the application for Continuing Education Units for the NESEA conferences.

Needham, Ma

Small scale vegetable production just outside of Boston, MA, using no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers and no irrigation. As one of three apprentices, I was involved in the entire production process from starting seeds and moving earth to the harvest and sale of goods at various farmer's markets. This includes experience operating and changing implements for a bucket tractor, searching and mechanically controlling or eradicating common diseases and pests, and managing a market stand. I gained experience making observations about the farms practices and thinking about more sustainable or efficient ways to set up their system through the lens of permaculture design, and I participated in many CRAFT workshops to better understand what farmers in the area excel and struggle at, and what organizations are doing to help them.

Oberlin, Oh

Worked with Md. Rumi Shammin to develop an Ecological Footprint Analysis for Oberlin, Ohio. Developing a measure of Ecological Footprint for the town of Oberlin involved manipulation of large data sets using Microsoft Excel, to categorize all consumer expenditures of town residents for one year, and then transforming that data into a form compatible with Global Footprint Network strategies not yet used for areas as small as Oberlin. We created a model of ecological footprint based on the consumer side of markets, and used real data to create a replicable strategy for calculating ecological footprint at the small town level.

Since 2009 I have been doing interior repair and painting for single apartments, family homes, and apartment building owners around the Pioneer Valley. I work quickly and meticulously to create warm and inviting living spaces; It is surprising what some repair and a new paint job can do to revitalize a space. I have experience seeking and quoting my own jobs, and budgeting the correct time and tools to complete jobs. I have minimal experience sub-contracting jobs but I do have one reliable worker when a job is too big for one person.

Oberlin, Oh

Oberlin College Lanes is a small Bowling Alley that provides college and town patrons with world class customer service. I held multiple responsibilities including managing large parties (up to 50 guests), fixing malfunctioning pinsetters, oiling the lanes, archiving college bowling team and staff information, creating manuals and documents, booking events, advertising, organizing billiards tournaments, and providing stellar customer service for college students, families, and professional bowlers. Often a Lane Attendant is the only person in the building, and responsible for any building emergency during their shift, and for the proper opening and secure closing of the building after hours.

Oberlin, Oh

As a Resident Assistant I was responsible for approximately twenty other students on the same hall who came to me with any problems or questions related to housing. I negotiated conflicts, filed work orders, and held monthly hall meetings for students to attend.As a Conference Assistant I was responsible for opening and closing most buildings on campus for outside conference use between June and August, and for any needs of conference members related to housing or meeting spaces.

Following in my fathers footsteps, I have been taking photos since I was young. I am capable with a traditional film camera and in a developing room, but my work has now become completely digital. In my more artistic work, I am interested in color combinations and surreal shapes and settings. To branch out from the art side, I have documented experiences, taken portraits for personal website bios, and done graphic design work creating logos for small businesses.

As a Research Assistant to Professor Sylvia Brandt, I conducted an extensive literature review for her research series titled "Using Economics to Improve Asthma Interventions". I reviewed and categorized papers from different databases including EconLit and PubMed in terms of relevance and usefulness to the research at hand.
