Community Food Coordinator
Current- Serves as the primary point of contact for traditional food drives and donations for 500+ external Food Bank contacts across 34 counties, from receiving inquiries, providing resources and guidance, coordinating transportation logistics, troubleshooting and providing updates, tracking, and wrap-up reports to raise over 1,400,000 pounds annually, valued at $2.6+ million- Cultivates and stewards partnerships with individuals, communities, and corporate, civic, and religious-based organizations through developing, executing, and managing food drives and events- Develops and supports multi-faceted food- and fundraising campaigns and events through comprehensive event organization and administration, including but not limited to providing event and campaign support through timely communication, project and event management, documentation and reporting, and wrap-up- Works closely with Food Bank colleagues to build donor relationships collaboratively across departments, aligning as needed to maximize donor engagement, solicitation of monetary and in-kind gifts, and stewardship- Coordinates planning, organization, and execution of large-scale food and fund drive events, such as NALC Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger, NC State Fair Hunger Relief Day, and ABC11 Together alongside Corporate Partnerships, Transportation, Communications, and Volunteer Engagement teams- Oversees the Middle Mile program, connecting small and mid-sized food donations directly with agencies through volunteer drivers across 3 counties, which includes volunteer, agency, and donor recruitment, training, and monitoring as well as occasionally handling customer service issues and conflict resolution according to established procedures (FY21-22: 22,305lbs | 144 donations | 24 agencies | 28 donors | 15 volunteers)- Previously assisted in managing the Retail Donation Program in Wake County by cultivating and strengthening relationships with new and existing retail food donors
