She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University (1998), and explored Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy at Cal State Northridge, completing her studies at the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing. Building upon her extensive education, Elina has gained over ten years of experience both in and out of the pool. As bodyworker and aquatic instructor, Elina has received hands-on training from some of California's premier experts in water-based physical therapy. She has also trained with many leading massage therapists, Aquatic IntegrationTM and Watsu® teachers to refine her skills and improve her range of techniques and practical knowledge. Elina has also achieved a variety of certifications relevant to her primary fields of healing work. She is certified in Red Cross CPR, Water Tai Chi (Ai Chi), and the Arthritis Foundation's Aquatics program. Her work as a Watsu® practitioner is bolstered by her certification with the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association. Elina's initiative and passion fueled by the strength of her professional and academic background allows her to create customized aquatic rehabilitation and fitness programs for her clients. Whether in need of assistance for pain, stress, or any number of autonomic, neurological or spinal/joint-based injuries, Elina's clients rely on her versatility and wisdom to find therapies that deliver optimal relief and recovery.
