Department of Policy Planning and ResearchAssisted my Unit in policy planning, planning of research projects and their administration. Represented the Unit in meetings and seminars, and performed other tasks delegated by the Head of Unit. Wrote internal documents for the use of the Ministry. Main project was to assist in tracking the history of policy analysis made by the Unit since 1980s, and conserving the most important documents and policy briefings. Familiarized in the process with the history of Finnish foreign policy and the interlinkage of research, policy planning and diplomacy.

Tampere, Finland

Responsible for Indian development organization GRAVIS' delegation visit to Tampere. Organized the programme of the week, including events and a seminar in the University of Tampere, visits to Finnish public sector establishments such as school and hospital. The purpose of the delegation visit was to enhance the cooperation between GRAVIS and the Student Union of UTA, increase awareness of the Organization among students of UTA, and to offer the delegation members a chance to familiarize with Finnish society.

Internship in the office of MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen. Followed committee and group meetings and wrote briefings on them. Searched information for the use of my MEP, and more specifically focused on human rights and the position of women migrants and asulym seekers. Drafted texts for example on the Internet webpage and columns, and facilitated communication with constituency and stakeholder groups.
