Project ManagerRei Systems 2001 - 2005Initially hired as webmaster to support the NASA SBIR/STTR website; during the first meeting with the NASA program manager (second week on the job), presented a side-by-side comparison of the NASA SBIR site to other federal Agencies’ SBIR sites, identifying strengths and weaknesses in the areas of technical design, user interface (UI) design, accessibility and features/functionalityAfter this meeting, NASA’s senior program manager requested identical analysis of 12 additional NASA SBIR sites. As a result, was asked to not only implement the suggested changes over a period of two years, but also was put in charge of managing the team of designers/developer for the other 12 NASA sites to bring their site up to HQ standards. Project was on time and on budget; technologies included JSP, JAVA, Oracle and HTML.In 2003, after Hurricane Katrina, REI was awarded a contract from FEMA on a Disaster Recovery Grant management application; asked to manage this 6 months short-turn project, in addition to performing requirements analysis and iterative wireframe and prototype design and development with a team of designers and developers. Project was on time and on budget; technologies included ASP, HTML and SQL.Served as project manager on a contract for department of Education to redesign their existing web-based grant management application; 4 month project was on time and on budget; technologies included HTML, CSS and Javascript.
