AFS is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities. We do this through different programs that bring global cultures together by helping people connect, develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.As Communications and Volunteer Manager at AFS I work both strategically, operationally and creatively with all communications within the organization, being in charge of developing and implementing it, as well as supporting and developing the volunteer function and make AFS a greater and stronger organization, wider known within Sweden.

Creating marketing material, such as brochures, case studies, ads and product sheets. Responsible for the website; copy, pictures, publishing and driving traffic to it. Managing specific marketing campaigns from creation to completion, working with segmentation and target adapted texts. Doing email marketing, always analyzing results to see what could be improved. Writing newsletters. In charge of administrating events by being point of contact and ordering marketing material for the booth. Working mostly operationally, but also strategically, deciding on how to communicate internally as well as externally.

Working at IBM, Center of Excellence, with project based services and customer fulfillment for the Nordic countries. The job implied, among other things, validation and loading of contracts into different systems, purchasing orders, delivery support, reconciliation, invoicing and financial follow ups and analysis on projects. It also comprised close customer contact and customer understanding, where problem solving and thus helping internal customers was a big part of the job. I also served as a mentor for new colleagues, teaching them the different systems and processes.
