I am the lead of our program that focuses on facilitating school organizations (management, boards and teams) in the transition towards sustainable education.This role is strategic as well as hands on.

As project lead, I assist the cooperation's primary and secondary education networks with their projects. All these projects contribute to accelerating and integrating sustainability in education. I connect people and ideas.

I increased the cooperation's online visibility by writing articles about projects and member organizations of the cooperation. I also edited articles and reports before they were published.

I worked to heighten awareness on sustainability in everyday life. Given the government's aim to live in fossile free houses in 2050, I placed emphasis on the energy transition. Through various communication channels, I interacted with inhabitants of the municipality. By discussing the local opportunities and challenges, I worked on connecting people. I also worked on a roadmap to a fossile free municipality in 2050.

Leiden

Eurocross Assistance (divison of Achmea) provides international assistance for multiple insurance companies. As international assistance coordinator, my main task was to provide automotive assistance for clients travelling outside of the Netherlands. Skills that I used and learned are multilingual communication, clear reporting and working under high pressure.Apart from my work as assistance coordinator, I also took part in several projects aimed to improve our processes. One such project targeted a new approach to dealing with the extreme peaks in workload during the summer months. Additionally, I took a key position within my team to coordinate our daily workload and have also been active in training of new colleagues.

Within the department Inclusive Green Growth I worked in the Climate-Team. The mission of the department is to add to sustainable solutions related to climate, energy, water, resources and food security. The main goal of our Team is to involve public and private sectors in establishing sustainable economic growth, both within and outside the Netherlands. Tasks I performed: coordinating the reply on a request on the Freedom of Information-law (Wet Openbaarheid Bestuur), preparing policy and background documents, working with the 'Mobilising More' Initiative and designing various documents of public diplomacy and communication.

Working in close collaboration with the Regional Hub Officer and the Environment, Science, Technology and Health Specialist on conducting extensive research, writing and briefings on key topics, lead special projects, attend key lectures/presentations, assist with ESTH visitors, contribute to the Hub periodical and actively participate in relevant internal/external meetings.

Leids Congres Bureau (LCB) is a congress organisation bureau that offers logistic support in organising national and international congresses and meetings about various subjects, as well as organising congresses, symposiums and seminars in areas such as (youth) care, welfare and traffic. As an assistant, I helped with administrative tasks such as keeping the address-data up to date, sorting mail and preparing the material handed out to participants of the conferences.

In this board of the Student Association for Political Science Students in Leiden, I was Commissioner on Education and Social Activities. I was responsible for organizing all social activities of our association. In addition to that, I set up a new commission within the association,in order to provide more study guidance and counselling for our students. Amongst others, I participated in multiple student representative bodies, set up a tutoring programme for first-year students and organized monthly social drinks.

In my position as Commissioner on Internal Affairs, I was incharge of organizing various activities for our members ánd non-members, such as intercultural movie nights, providing information and talks about different cultures and intercultural activities, and hosting social drinks.
