About Elin Filbey, Mat, Acc

I love museums. But it took me 10+ years, an expensive masters degree, and my sanity to realize they didn’t love me back (at least not in the way I wanted them to). After nearly a decade of working in the museum field, I understand firsthand the passion, creativity, and dedication it takes to build a career in this industry. I also know the challenges many museum professionals face when they feel ready to move on, whether due to burnout, shifting priorities, or the desire for a new chapter. I went through it myself, choosing to leave after becoming a mom. Now, I'm using my experience to help others make that same transition with confidence and clarity. As an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified coach and founder of Elin Filbey Career Coaching, I specialize in helping museum professionals reimagine their careers and step into new roles that align with their strengths and passions. Together, we work on identifying transferable skills, exploring new career paths, and navigating the often-overwhelming job search process.I offer 1:1 coaching and group programs designed to give my clients the tools, mindset, and confidence they need to thrive beyond the museum field. Whether you're looking to leave behind the past and embrace a new career or simply need clarity on your next steps, I’m here to help.Let’s curate your future together.
