Born and raised in Sweden, I relocated to Australia in 2009 where I completed a BA in Communication Design in 2012. After an initial career in graphic design, working in studios and freelance, I have been freelancing full-time as an illustrator since a few years back. I am so happy to be able to say I truly have my dream job. I currently divide my time between Dharawal Country (NSW South Coast) and my studio in Surry Hills, Sydney. I love working with people who do good things, and have been lucky enough to collaborate with many such clients in the past. My illustrations are routinely been commissioned for a wide range of creative projects, including books, murals, book stores, websites, maps, animations, advertising campaigns and packaging. I approach every new brief with as much excitement as the last, and as far as I’m concerned, the sky is the limit!With a degree in Communication Design and a prior career in graphic design, comes an understanding of visual storytelling and brand identity that means I can respond to an illustration brief with an eye for context. I have the ability to create exciting solutions that sits within the existing framework for the client brand. My design background also means I have the technical knowledge when it comes to prepress processes, responsice web/app design, layout and typography.My approach to making art is colourful, fun and with purpose, turning things on its head and hopefully putting a smile on someone’s face. I consider inclusivity in image making crucial, and draw both inspiration and strength from the natural world.I enjoy combing analogue and digital processes when creating my work. I have an affinity for handmade textures, imperfect brush strokes and making magic with shapes — but also work fluently across the Adobe Suite as well as Procreate and Paper app. Whenever I have the opportunity I enjoy bringing my work to life with frame-by-frame (GIF) animation.I am commercially represented by The Jacky Winter Group in Australia/NZ, Asia, USA and UK, and WEI Productions (formerly Söderberg Agentur) in Scandinavia.I would absolutely love to hear from you about commissions and collaborations.
