In my two-decade career, I've navigated the entrepreneurial landscape with a genuine spirit, consistently seeking opportunities for growth, innovation, and sustainable income generation, all while investing in the community of Plymouth that holds a special place in my heart. Embarking on my entrepreneurial journey in the late '90s, I faced economic challenges, yet found perseverance as a young business owner learning to navigate uncharted territories at a young age.During the Global Financial Crisis of 2008, I found myself in the role of a Senior Fundraiser, turning adversity into an opportunity for reflection and innovation. In a time marked by fear and loss, my focus on sustainable thinking and innovative strategies not only weathered the storm but also highlighted the importance of a grounded, yet forward-thinking approach.Spending cherished time in the world of social enterprise, I then transitioned into the hospitality sector as a Development Manager, engaging in dynamic strategies to address rising costs and policy changes, emphasising sustainable growth, partnerships, and cross-sector collaboration through innovation. My aim was not only to navigate challenges, but also to contribute positively to the community and sector.Now there is Micronomy, a genuine testament to our commitment to innovation. As a co-founder, we approach success with a focus on the power of micro, intentional interactions. Micronomy challenges the idea that success is solely achieved through grand gestures, emphasising the transformative impact of seemingly modest moments. Micronomy is not merely a movement; it's a sincere philosophy encouraging a shift in perceptions and pursuit of success in a world often dominated by grand narratives.Throughout my journey, I hope I have maintained a sincere, highly motivated, and result-driven approach. Rooted in my passion for innovation, my entrepreneurial spirit consistently driving me to discover unconventional solutions to complex challenges. In my previous role as an Innovation & Business Relationship Manager at Plymouth City Council, I sincerely sought to integrate innovation into economic development.
