• My role involved helping transform the organisation to one where all employees actively use Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualisations to make better informed, data and insight driven decisions that drive tangible value.• Built a new team to champion a culture of data driven decision making Society-wide, whilst building awareness of the possibilities of data visualisation.• Developed a monthly BI Forum for data professionals across the Society, educating on self-service and upskilling of BI tools, regularly presenting to ~100 colleagues.• Led sessions during ‘Learning at Work Week’ on ‘Storytelling with data’.

• Focus on strong user adoption and advancing levels of confidence and understanding using data. Contributed to growth in users of BI Tools to over 3000 Society-wide.• Developed a value framework to capture both tangible and intangible benefits of any piece of work to aid prioritisation. I promoted it’s use within a team of ~100 and created quarterly infographics to showcase the value of all the work delivered, aligned to strategic goals.• Trained hundreds of users in the BI tool ThoughtSpot, contributing to over 1000 users Society-wide, and maintained strong relationships with this third party.• Presented to industry leaders at an external, international webinar to share my experience of best practice of user adoption to several hundred people, summarised thereafter in a blog.• Developed an approach to monitor customer satisfaction using Net Promoter Scores, for the BI tools Qlik Sense and ThoughtSpot.

• Working in an agile Scrum team to deliver mortgage data onto a single platform and provide increased insight to stakeholders through modern interactive self-service BI tooling, Qlik Sense and ThoughtSpot.• Led the rollout of the Business Intelligence tool ThoughtSpot from inception to delivery, with a strong focus on user adoption, and educating colleagues to self-serve their own insight.• Acted as Proxy Product Owner and Scrum Master.

• I engaged with transformational projects impacting data to ensure they went live with fully governed data and minimal risk. Strong communication skills were required to continually promote benefits, and ensure high standards were withheld on all projects.• Attention to detail and strong analysis capability were required to capture metadata and data lineage, and facilitate the transition from reporting tools to the Informatica data governance tool Axon.

• Created highly visual and interactive dashboards for stakeholders across the Society using the Business Intelligence tool Qlikview, enabling colleagues to self-serve data and make insight-driven decisions.• My role included both data model development and visualisation of the data for colleagues. A combination of creativity, attention to detail and a focus on adding real value and efficiency to each project was key during this role.

• My responsibilities included improving a Society-wide Methodology process used by transformational projects impacting data, providing business engagement, and re-launching a ‘People Network’ of colleagues around the business in analyst roles to increase engagement and encourage knowledge sharing.• I contributed to the planning and development of Nationwide’s first Data & Analytics Strategy, alongside both senior leaders and external third parties.
