Hello, I’m Élio Fernandes, and I hold a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Structures and Vehicles. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve focused on the development of aerospace components and aircraft design. This experience has not only strengthened my technical skills—particularly in CAD, CFD, and FEM analysis—but has also enhanced my soft skills in creative problem-solving, collaboration, and communication. I’m well-equipped to tackle the challenges of the aerospace industry with a proactive, adaptable, and results-driven mindset.My primary interests lie in Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, and CAD. I’m fascinated by the development and study of new concepts which led to my master’s thesis on the "Study of the cyclic creep behaviour ofpressure sensitive adhesives." This research allowed me to delve into the design of a new device used for testing cyclic creep in pressure sensitive adhesives where I developed knowledge and experience in CAD and manufacturing. I also developed an analytical model to predict cyclic creep behaviour using experimental data and mathematical equations, thus gaining experience in Mathematics and programming.Outside of my academic pursuits, CAD is also a hobby of mine as I’m currently designing a racecar in CAD in my spare time. Running and exercising are another some of my favourite hobbies, allowing me to reconnect with nature and strengthens my resilience and mindset.I pride myself on my strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results. I believe that my ability to work effectively within diverse teams, combined with my dedication and enthusiasm, will enable me to make valuable contributions in any professional environment.
