I have delivered in all projects I have been involved with, and crucially in four high level projects that I have been a member of;- In my LSS Green Belt Project, I was responsible for increasing the efficiency of the Visor Bonding production line. The output per operator per shift was successfully increased by 25% upon the change in process. SPC has been introduced to monitor the quality of the bond upon destructive testing.- I was the Process Engineer for Rebreather Development, I ensured Avon successfully delivered a large military order of MCM100 rebreathers for the Norwegian Navy.- I introduced a new test facility into Avon’s factory in Melksham. The equipment installed was completely new technology to the business. I ensured all EHS guidelines were met, taking advice from appropriate personnel when necessary.- After a review of the manufacturing cost of a product, I self-initiated a project which removed an offline process by implementing an innovative laser marking enclosure onto the manufacturing line.

Completed the Avon Rubber 2-year Graduate Scheme, which included four high level placements in Product Design, Sales & Marketing, Corporate Strategy and Operations. The most notable placement was the Project Lead role I took on in the successful relocation of Avon Electronics Centre (AEC) from West Palm Beach, FL to Cadillac, MI over a 7-month Secondment in U.S.A. I was permanently living and working at the facilities in America, highlighting risks of not meeting key project milestones to senior management on a regular basis. I identified staffing requirements prior to the facility being moved and communicated what the process timings and requirements were.

Living abroad in a Mark Warner hotel, working as a waiter. Serving an a la carte menu most evenings for over 300 covers per shift, in temperatures exceeding 35°C, helped me learn how to work under pressure and communicate efficiently as a team.

Part time job during school and the beginning of University. Main responsibilities were to maintain a high level of customer service and develop relationships with members of the golf club. During my time with the Chevin Golf Club, I became a more senior and well respected member of the team which led to me adopting more management responsibilities during shifts.

Having already applied for University to study Mechanical Engineering, I sought after relevant work experience in an Engineering environment. I was responsible for the change control process during my time with Chemring Defence and also worked very closely on many projects with senior Engineers and Chemists.
