I've always loved computers. I've had a strange fascination with them since I was very young and always wanted to learn how they worked. Later in life, I set out to do just that and taught myself programming and computer science principles in my spare time. I was excited to learn computer science in high school, and am excited and highly motivated to build on and utilize the skills I've accumulated to make or be a part of something bigger than just personal projects. Computers and technology and everything they're capable of have fascinated me and made me super motivated to dive into not just using them, but building them and making them work for me.I've done all but get my feet wet with programming, from personal software projects for my friends or myself to larger, more in-depth projects for public use, such as sleeti. I'm a major advocate of open-source software, and release most of my work on my GitHub profile, free-of-charge and under the MIT and GPL licenses. While I have yet to have a larger project of mine used by many people, I still pride myself in polishing them as nicely as I can and have made a conscious effort to improve security and functionality across all of my work. As a result, I've accumulated knowledge pertaining to software security and modern best practices, and I thoroughly enjoy doing so further.
