I work collaboratively with a lead patent attorney to respond to office actions from the United States Patent Office. With minimal supervision, I performed legal research and constructed a response to a rejection from the USPTO under 35 USC §112 and 103. I engaged in a due diligence review of claims of 35 USC §103 anticipation through the Patent Center, constructed legal arguments for the client in favor of their application, and responded to 35 USC §112 claims for the client. I cited case law, US Code, and the MPEP. After a review by the lead attorney, I incorporated edits and feedback into a final draft to be sent to the USPTO.

I work collaboratively with four in-house attorneys, a paralegal and two law clerks to assist students with a range of legal areas including housing and rental law, immigration law, criminal defense, family law, consumer law, interpersonal violence, personal injury tort, employment law, name and gender change, insurance and disability claims. With minimal supervision, I have drafted a range of documents including demand letters, subpoenas, name and gender change forms, and motions to set aside. I assist attorneys and staff with client correspondence, drafting closing letters and limited representation agreements. I take comprehensive notes during client intake, first consultation, and subsequent consultations, to assist attorneys with their practice. I have assisted attorneys with document review, organization, and file destruction. I have tabled several outreach events for the Student Legal Services, including new student orientations.

I work collaboratively with a lead trademark attorney, paralegal staff, and law students to assist clients with trademark and copyright prosecution. I've filed two trademark and servicemark applications through TEAS with minimal supervision, one as a Statement of Use in Commerce and another as a Statement of Intent to Use. I compiled the Semi Annual Report for the office, which included data on trademark and patent applications, responses, client demographics. I was tasked with composing a memorandum on trademark feasibility for a client, which involved legal research into case law and ongoing litigation. I have also composed a memorandum report and brief Google Slides presentation on the Indian Arts and Crafts Act as it for native and indigenous trademark clients. I also prepared a memorandum regarding the USPTO's 'likelihood of confusion' factor for a client. I also prepared a comprehensive memorandum report on the state of AI Intellectual Property law both at a State and Federal level, including administrative bodies like the Copyright Office and USPTO for use with advising clients as the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property develop in the future.

With minimal supervision, I provided general administrational and operational oversight and support, including back-end data entry and user interface construction. I was tasked with spearheading logistics and coordination for on-site social and networking events. I also coordinated and led staff training.
