-Added additional enhancements and integrations to onboard customers into the platformCataworx is a Boulder, CO-based Business-to-Business telecom software startup redefining how telecommunication service providers, wholesale operators, bandwidth infrastructure providers and Telco/Cable carriers buy and sell wholesale connectivity services.Cataworx provides a telecom pre-sales enablement platform that simplifies, automates and accelerates the process of defining, publishing, searching and quoting connectivity services.Based on an innovative mix of industry standard data models, intelligent onboarding technology, and analytics, Cataworx’s pre-sales business-to-business platform enables near real-time exchange of services and offerings data.Our founders are recognized leaders in the telecommunications industry. Our team offers a unique blend of experience in software, telecommunications, standards development and model-driven software development. We complement that with our proven leadership and experience in industry-standards development.

-Developed the Java Spring Boot backend with a Neo4J database to create a pre-sales solution for telecommunications companies.-Designed an API for the backend with Swagger documentation to comply with a spec and allow frontend components, other companies, and backend instances to interface with the backend.-Managed deployment scripts with Bash, allowing new deployments to be created quickly for testing/demos/customers. Created and managed a Jenkins server to build new deployments.-Deployed solutions on Heroku as containers with Docker, to control the build process and isolate different components.-Prepared the product for a MEF18 conference. A cluster of backend instances were presented in a MEF18 Proof of Concept showcase, the product won the silver award for proof of concept.

-Learned Spring Boot, Neo4J, and Angular.js to create the API for the company.-Prototyped a search engine API with Neo4j/Java Spring Boot to automate the quote process for telecommunications companies.-Collaborated with another developer on an Angular.js website to demonstrate the product.

-Wrote a web scraper that discovered hundreds of potential sales opportunities.

-Verified that the product was working by investigating the command line tools, packages, and jars. -Improved and documented the patch release process used by the Engagement Development Platform, in order to speed up patch delivery from several weeks to a week. -Actively participated in the code fix lifecycle: problem identification, determination of corrective actions, performing fixes, QA testing, and preparation of production patch releases.-Worked with Bash and Linux to ensure the environment was running correctly.

-Prototyped V-ma, a workspace magnifier that helps people with limited vision read. -Processed hardware signals to allow knobs and buttons to control the video feed from V-ma.-Integrated the hardware of the Raspberry Pi with software post-processing via OpenCV, to enable a moving pen to be tracked.-Minimized the latency of the video feed while constrained by the limited processing power of the Raspberry Pi.
