An aspiring political leader and current honors student at the University of Texas at Austin, I am currently pursuing a degree in Government with the hopes of advocating for workers' rights, immigration reform, voting rights, access to education, and progressive socioeconomic policy at the national level in the future. My passion for these specialized subjects stems from my interest in economic policy and the disparities experienced by thousands of marginalized people in the past and present. As a student, I have testified at the Texas Capitol in defense for HB 644 which would require polling locations at all general academic institutions with a population of 8,000 students. I also called for the elimination of House Bill 7 which would incriminate asylum seekers at the Southern border that did not enter through the limited port entries. Additionally, I have been active in multiple progressive campaigns across the nation such as the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Campaign for Congress, Raphael Warnock's Campaign for Senate, Beto O'Rourke's Campaign for Governor, and Justin J. Pearson's Special Election Campaign. Currently, I serve as a legislative aide for Representative Mihaela Plesa representing Texas’ House District 70. I am always looking for any opportunity I can to help further my knowledge and experience at the local, state, or national level to further qualify myself as an individual fit for office.
