Elio Zardini was born in Neuquen, Patagonia, Argentina.His first venture was within agriculture. Between the age of 12 and 15, Elio started his first business at the family farm.Elio's next passion was electronics and robotics. He started his second business with his brother repairing computer hardware. This company, founded in 1990, is still run by Elioʼs brother in Argentina and is recognized as an EPSON service center.In 1996, Elio moved to Rome where he began his studies on Industrial Design. During his years there, he worked in numerous restaurants, bars, and further developed his love for food and the hospitality industry.In 2003, Elio completed his design studies with a maximum score for his thesis: Design of a multi-functional Hi-Fi. Attracted by the Scandinavian design, Elio moved to Denmark.Only few months after arriving, he saw good business opportunities in the restaurant business. Following an approx. EUR 1 million investment, Fuego opened in 2003. Elio designed the entire interior and built part of the furniture himself. Since then, it has been recognized by critics and customers alike for its design, warm atmosphere, and not least, its innovative cuisine. (Fuego was rated no. 1 on TripAdvisor.com in 2012)After a few years, another restaurant, called "Asador", was opened in the same city.Both restaurants are operational still today with great success an a turn over of 2 M.
