D3 validation at Drug Discovery and Development Department. Principal activities: cell culture, molecular biology, ex-vivo analysis, target engagment studies, biochemistry, activity-based protein profiling (ABPP).

The principal reaserch task was the study of the beneficial involvement of Natural Killer (NK) lymphocytes in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in pediatric patients affected by leukemia. These were the main points of my research activity:• Genotyping of the NK cells’ receptor repertoire in HSCT patient-donor pairs• Molecular cloning of NK cell receptors for the gene allele identification• Protein expression and purification of the new receptors for ligand identification studies

My research was focused on the characterization at the molecular level of NK cell receptors. These were the main points of my research activity:• Molecular cloning of new receptors• Generation of DNA constructs coding for fusion proteins made of the extracellular domains of the NK cell receptor and the Fc portion of human IgG• Production and purification of fusion proteins in mammalian cell systems• Binding studies for the discovery of receptors’ ligands ( Flow cytofluorimetry , ELISA)
