Elisa has been a lawyer with a specialization in Intellectual Property since 1992. Graduated in Law from the Catholic University of Petrópolis in 1988, she obtained a Master of Laws in International Law from Tulane University, Louisiana, USA in 1990, concluding her course with the monograph entitled "Arbitration in Brazil".Shortly after returning from her master's degree in the United States, Elisa was hired to start her professional career at the renowned intellectual property firm Momsen, Leonardos & Cia. After 9 years at Momsen, Elisa remained for 7 years at Clarke Modet & Co. and was a partner for 1 year at Bhering Advogados, all specialized in Intellectual Property.Finally, she tried what is called in-house law, having been hired by the Swiss multinational Syngenta as Intellectual Property Manager for Latin America.On her return to Rio de Janeiro, Elisa understood that it was time to start her own office, which happened at the end of 2009.In addition to being an Industrial Property Agent at the BPTO, Elisa is a member of the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI), the Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents (ABAPI), where she currently holds the position of Deputy Director-Attorney and member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) having served on the Committees for the Analysis of Regulations, Geographical Indications, Courts & Courts. She is currently a member of the Law Firm Committee, which acts to defend the interests of law firms.For 5 years, Elisa was coordinator and teacher of the Intermediate Course on Industrial Property promoted by ABAPI. In 2002 and 2003 he was a speaker at LILA – Licensing in Latin America Seminar, which takes place every year in Miami. From 2002 to 2005, Elisa was a lecturer at the Course "Strategic Management of Trademarks and Patents for the Pharmaceutical Industry" in São Paulo.Elisa is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish and has published articles in Brazil and abroad.
