Presidential appointment to lead the VA’s Center for Women’s Veterans (CWV), providing executive direction and oversight of VA’s administration of healthcare, benefits services, and programs for over 2M U.S. women veterans. Principal executive responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the CWV, managing its staff, as well as overseeing its budget and the drafting of its annual statements. Principal advisor to the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Responsible for expanding CWV’s capacity and assuring the organization’s long-term sustainability. Participated in firm management decisions on Strategic Planning, Diversity and Recruiting Committees. ★ 2012 – 2013: Seconded in-house commercial counsel to Motorola Mobility HOME, a $12.5 billion-dollar company, focused on negotiation of backlogged contracts and transformation of legal operations/procurement processes. o Negotiated and advised on over 100 matters related to complex next-generation commercial procurement agreements, RFP processes, manufacturing agreements, warranty and repair, development agreements, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) compliance and other related agreements during Google’s divestiture of Motorola’s Motorola Mobility – Home and its acquisition by ARRIS in 2013. o Led in the design, documentation, development, and deployment of re-engineered processes, training and the supporting information systems of business processes and supplier negotiations.★ 2010 – 2012: Seconded in-house Assistant General Counsel - Indirect Supply Chain to Arkema Americas. o Negotiated over 100 procurement commercial vendor contracts with major multinational corporations as lead counsel for the French multinational chemical corporation’s five (5) new acquired plants. o Led enterprise initiative to develop and implement new procurement terms and conditions templates for plant services, indirect purchases, environmental engineering and consulting, engineering services and medical services that decreased negotiations time and improved quality across plants and capital projects. o Worked collaboratively with company business leaders, risk management and company lawyers and SMEs.
