I am passionate about design and architecture and extremely proud of the work we do at Howarth Litchfield. We produce great design and Architecture and I am lucky enough to work with creative and committed friends every day where we can share in the success of everyone’s projects. There is no glass ceiling at HL - all 4 Directors started with HL at the beginning of our careers, 3 of us as graduate architects and 1 as an apprentice technician. One thing that sets us apart from the others is that we are Director led – meaning every project is led by a Director who will stay and work with the client team and our project team. The amount of experience and talent that goes into each project we take on is quite rare in our industry.When it comes to projects, I love seeing my clients happy and genuinely amazed with whatever the design solution is. It feels fantastic to show clients how a space can work for them and what different materials can be used. It’s the possibilities that excite me - what can be done with a blank sheet of paper! And then the challenge of convincing the planning departments that it is a good idea!I also love teaching graduates and work experience students about architecture.
