For the last eight years, I worked as an English as a New Language (ENL) Coordinator at the NYC Department of Education. I provided language access support to diverse learners and educators in one of the largest and most diverse school districts in the country. Simultaneously, I provided daily executive support to the principal, assistant principal, and school board. I am certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Elementary Education, and Gifted Education, and I have a Master of Science in Education from The City College of New York.In addition to 20 years of teaching, I was also the Assistant Teacher Coordinator, where I hired, managed, and mentored a team of 25 student teachers annually, ensuring they received high-quality training and feedback. I have strong skills in communication, coordinating meetings, project and program management, and proofreading. I applied these skills to both my teaching and administrative roles. I majored in journalism at Lehigh University and have extensive technical writing and science writing experience. After a recent move to San Diego, I leveraged my passion for organization and shifted to a career as an executive assistant.
