Responsible for ensuring positive customer relations, general maintenance and upkeep of facility, and staff training and oversight. Oversee the working the register and cashing out at night; ensure that facility supplies are continually stocked, and that the public areas are clean and orderly; check and maintain water and chemical quality in pool; assist pool patrons with questions and concerns, as well as problem-solving when necessary; regularly teach children, ages three to fifteen, how to swim, dive, and be safe in and around the pool; serve as the swim team coach to the Gators, the pool's summer swim team; provide in-service training for staff, lead new employees through staff orientation sessions; responsible for staff scheduling; teach recertification classes for CPR/AED/First Aid; manage teacher aides who work at the pool; and am responsible for evaluating staff. Since joining the staff at the Shoreline pool I have consistently received outstanding work evaluations that have resulted in two promotions.
