A registered, salaries, full time employee who is commissioned to serve in an approved professional position in a local council of the Boy Scouts of America. The Goshen Scout Reservation Director manages five (5) residential summer camp programs for the National Capital Area Council, BSA, supervising approximately 200 seasonal staff members, and offering camping programs for over 4,000 youth and adults annually.Under the guidance of the Director of Camping, be responsible for leading all aspects of Goshen Scout Reservation summer and year round programs, including three Scouts BSA Camps, one Cub Scout Camp, and one High Adventure base, family camping opportunities, and service weekends.Establish and manage a comprehensive marketing plan to promote the Goshen Scout Reservation camps and programs throughout the year through social media use and participation in unit, district, and council wide events.Support strategic operating plans for the Council as directed by the Executive Management team, including identifying facility and program areas for strategic improvement, and enhancing and designing programs, policies, and procedures to strengthen youth programs.Recruits, trains, and inspires staff and volunteer committees to develop a dynamic, quality program for the Goshen Scout Reservation and National Capital Area Council.Leads the Goshen Scout Reservation's assemblage, verification, and maintenance of the National CampAccreditation Program’s annual Camp Assessment.

As Camp Director of Lenhok'sin High Adventure, it is my duty to oversee and manage all year round operations, including hiring, budget management, and program planning. During the off season, I promote the summer camp by attending unit, district, and council meetings for the Boy Scouts of America, and oversee social media posts and engagement. I also host interviews, hire staff members, and promote pre-camp training in preparation for their positions. During the summer, I directly oversee all backcountry operations (backpacking and canoeing treks), and work with staff, adult leaders, and scouts to provide a meaningful and memorable summer experience.

As Program Director of Lenhok'sin High Adventure, I aided the Camp Director in overseeing backcountry and basecamp operations during the summer season. I organized staff assignments, managed unit itinerary plans, and planned various basecamp activities (flag ceremonies, camp fire program, etc.) I also aided in training staff members in topics such as Leave No Trace, Youth Protection Training, and Weather Safety for their time at their designated back country outposts.
