Elisabeth has 7+ years experience coordinating clinical research trials and is passionate about the intersection of mental healthcare + technology. Specifically, she is interested in developing robust research programs to further our understanding of the etiology and treatment of psychopathology in adults, with a particular focus on anxiety disorders. Moreover, she is interested in implementation and dissemination science - addressing the question of how we can utilize markets-based innovative interventions to increase access to evidence based practices, while decreasing costs associated with the delivery of care. Coming from a firmly-rooted background in clinical research and good clinical practice, Elisabeth works with healthcare tech companies to develop their clinical research efforts. Elisabeth has experience designing a wide range of trials - from early stage feasibility studies, to robust RCTs. She has also helped early stage healthcare tech companies procure NIH grant funding. Prior to joining the healthcare startup ecosystem, Elisabeth was part of the team that opened the Mount Sinai OCD Treatment Center – a cutting edge treatment and research facility specializing in the development and delivery of best-practice treatments and experimental therapies for patients with OC-Spectrum Disorders. At Mount Sinai, one of the top 20 hospitals in the nation, Elisabeth was responsible for leading the planning, implementation and reporting for several clinical trial research protocols, while in parallel orchestrating the day to day operations of a full service outpatient clinic. She worked closely with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and investigators cutting across several therapeutic areas.
