Career Launch is a free training series developed to assist workforce development professionals who are looking to build systems of support for people with disabilities in their programs and in the employment landscape. The series included 3 trainings sessions as well as technical assistance consultation to address each organization's unique challenges and needs.

Provide post-secondary counseling (college and vocational training) to students with disabilities and their families. Facilitate and develop self-advocacy workshops for students with disabilities in partner high schools. Facilitate and coordinate parent and professional development training on topics, such as transition planning, college access and seeking accommodations, and building self-advocacy skills for students.

My responsibilities include:•Assisting a clinical team in the behavioral analysis, intervention strategizing and implementation of goals for a caseload of individuals with developmental disabilities. •Training staff and other WellLife Network employees on the proper behavioral expectations for each individual’s developmental level and behavioral plan. •Facilitating team meetings with psychiatrists, nurses, physicians, family members and staff to develop the most beneficial and comprehensive strategies for intervention for each particular individual.•Collecting data and maintaining necessary policies and protocols to ensure that each individual’s plans, medications, opportunities and restrictions are compliant with our Human Rights Committee.

The purpose of this program is to connect with students who have aged out of the foster care system and are enrolled at the University at Buffalo. During my time in this position I have contributed to the program by:• Organizing, planning and facilitating monthly group meetings with students.• Connecting with Campus Living, the Student Health Insurance Departments and other on-campus departments to advocate and create contract opportunities for former foster care student needs. • Reaching out to community agencies to educate them about our program.• Offering 1:1 support for students to assist them in their journey through their undergraduate career.• Researching successful programs and collaborating with superiors to develop the program further.• Updating and maintaining data files, spreadsheets and manuals, which will contribute to the longevity and advancement of this program.

The Morlock Foundation is a nonprofit organization that focuses primarily on crisis intervention for high risk individuals in the community. Worked with the program coordinator to facilitate and design an employment training and development summer program for high school students. The purpose of the program was to help high school students with disabilities to prepare for the world of work. Developed weekly lesson plans and travelled all over Chautauqua County to gain a better sense of what jobs were available and what careers the student might be interested in. I also helped facilitate a summer job for her and assisted her in learning how to interact with her boss and co-workers as well as learn what responsibilities she has as an employee.
