I student taught at Elizabethtown Area High School with three block style classes. The classes have an average of 19 students in each class. I taught honors and college preparatory chemistry classes. Responsibilities included:- Lesson Planning- Grading- Participating in Parent/Teacher conferences, department meetings, and faculty meetingsA variety of virtual, hands on, and laboratory activities are used to enhance the learning environment.Schoology is used as the learning management system (LMS).

Trainer:- Trained analysts on Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (FAA, CVAA)- This included the theory of how the instrument works, how to use the software, and the practical operation of the instrument. - Training was conducted in small groups and one on one.Lab Captain:- Ensured GMP and safety regulations were met, ordered supplies, maintain cleanliness.Other:- Participated in LEAN Projects- Assisted newer analysts with experiments- Wrote exceptions for instrument and operator related system suitability failures- Updated supplemental information sheets for experiment methods- Wrote methods (recipes) into the Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) software

REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) Student involved with polymer synthesis and gelation research for tumor annihilation in a graduate level research lab. Gained experience with organic and polymer synthesis, characterization techniques, and chromatography. Also encapsulated small molecules in the polymeric micelles made from the synthesized polymers.
