In this leadership role, I strategically positioned various peace mission plans within the local community by developing communications plans, preparing articles, and press releases. I led a team of 187 who were challenged with the development of radio and online content. • I coordinated all radio production and web programming, including specific gender programming that supported public discourse, human rights, public health, democracy and transparency, public service announcements, news, features, and documentaries for local, regional and international use• I built and implemented the Peace Mission's strategic communication plan.• By guiding a content development team through innovative focus and the development of dynamic and creative digital content that aligned with audiences, we created one of the most visited media website in the country.• I organized field missions that offered a first-hand glimpse of crisis impact which in turn influenced the development of media content to change the perception communications output.• By partnering with Public Information Division Director and relevant stakeholders we were able to design best practices for the installation, operation, maintenance, repair and upgrade of all radio station technology.• I was behind the introduction of training programs for Journalists and Communication specialists in ONE UN mandate support roles.• I spearheaded a review of radio programming; exposed new opportunities to further align output with the UN's mandate and strategic communications priorities.• Active leader in the UN Crisis & Emergency Communication Group, where I advanced strategies and response initiatives aimed at preventing the outbreak of the Ebola Virus disease.
