Here, I was challenged with creating a long-term integrated communication strategy, while directing the Beneficiary Communications (Bencom) component of the Ebola Virus Disease response spanning three affected countries, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. • I played a key role in the signing of contracts between ten Red Cross National Societies with the IFRC for the deployment of Trilogy Emergency Relief Application (TERA), a disaster risk reduction and early warning system.• Through the active engagement of humanitarian diplomacy we provided support to Red Cross National Societies in entering into partnerships with Telecommunication companies for the deployment of TERA.• I directly met with people throughout local communities during the early period of the virus spread, in this way I built influencers and created ambassadors who advanced real data that solidified trust through meaningful dialogue, changing perceptions and superstitions that were causing more sickness.• I drove the integration of Beneficiary communication across West African Red Cross National Societies; trained 1,000+ volunteers, communication specialists and programs personnel.• I began tenure as a Beneficiary Communication Senior officer, where I guided the implementation of a high-level impact Social Behavior Change project across West Africa to prevent the spread of the Ebola Virus Disease.• In collaboration with NGOs, humanitarian agencies, and the UN I communicated with the Affected Communities Working Group to identify and further explore opportunities for collaboration and partnerships that aided long-term regional response and preparedness efforts through the Humanitarian-Development-Peace NEXUS approach.• I represented IFRC West Africa office at the global Beneficiary Communication Working Group.

In this leadership position, I guided all aspects of the station's on-air experience, including talent, content, programming and online presence. I devised annual work plans and program budgets and provided positive leadership to a team and a network of 33 community radios, advancing an emphasis on journalist and community radio performance and evaluation. • I led the revitalization of the program schedule, building a new program that aligned with the editorial policies of WADR.• I launched broadcast and online media campaigns that were key supports to the electioneering process and civil society advocacy efforts in West Africa, presenting a tangible contribution to social transformation.• I steered a team of Journalists/Producers, Webmasters, and Content Developers in the development of innovative media content that was awarded the 2011 Knight- Batten Awards for Innovations in Journalism.• By capitalizing on radio as a social marketing tool, I was able to implement socio-political events that targeted multiple stakeholders in driving information and behavior change.

Moving into a Producer role, meant that I was behind the research, investigations, and interviews for a 30-minute talk show that promoted role models, sharing individual inspiring lives with the region. • I additionally, led the production of a 30-minute program in French & English that highlighted rural issues of health, reproduction, youth, gender and agriculture.• I introduced realistic alternative strategies and approaches to daily editorial issues.

Beginning my role with WADR, I conducted field reporting in both French and English, and led live news presentations six days a week at seven o’clock, and news bulletin presentations six days per week. • I was an English news daily live presenter that delivered 800 live presentations between 2005-2007.• I anchored a weekly program that highlighted major news events in West Africa; 140 shows from 2005-2007• In partnership with OXFAM in Great Britain and the Network of West Africa producers and peasant farmers’ associations, ROPPA, WADR ran a story on the stakes of the Economic Partnership Agreement between African, Caribbean, and Pacific countries and the European Union in 2006.• By coordinating with the West and Central African Council for Agricultural Development (CORAF/WECARD) I was able to produce a series of shows on the causes and solutions to food insecurity in West and Central Africa in 2006.
