I run Smart Casual, a daily morning brief covering the latest in business news, recently recognized as one of the top business newsletters by Turi2. I also write the weekly business column Ökonowie for Wiener Zeitung, consult publishers and media startups, and teach Editorial Management and Digital Storytelling at the FH Eisenstadt as a guest lecturer. With 18 years of experience as a business and tech reporter, including two years reporting from San Francisco and Silicon Valley, I bring a deep understanding of digital journalism and the tech industry. I’ve founded and led companies as an interim CEO and have extensive experience in product and project management. Previously, I launched the online business magazine Fillmore and helped build and manage Addendum, Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz‘ media startup, as Managing Editor and Head of Digital Products.I’m also the founder and former chairwoman of Digitalista, a nationally awarded non-profit initiative to connect women in digital industries. My journalistic work has been featured in leading publications such as Profil, Wired Germany, Spiegel, t3n, and Der Standard. On a personal note, as someone with an invisible disability from a working-class background, I’m committed to breaking down barriers and providing others with access to knowledge and opportunities.
