About Elisabetta Pontello

With a degree in Economics, I have worked for six years in the financial sector, as analyst in an international investment bank. Looking for new challenges that would allow me to fully explore the role I believe economics can have in tackling social issues, I then moved on to International Cooperation.After more than 12 years in which I worked both in development and in emergency response, I chose to focus on supporting enterprises, social, purpose driven or not, maximize the impact they can have on poverty reduction and in solving other relevant social challenges; I supported enterprises in developing countries and worked as managing director of one of the most innovative social enterprises incubators in Italy.In 2019 I founded Yumi, the social impact department of Ferrofin SrL, an existing financial consulting company and investment vehicle, with the aim of supporting individuals and companies, not for profit, for profit or uncertain, in achieving their fullest social impact potential, both in Italy and abroad.
