I teach General English and ESAP English for specific academic purposes at the University of Padova and Ca' Foscari University of Venice. I've also taught Italian, Italian culture and Made in Italy, Intercultural communication at the University of Venice, University of Koper (Slovenia) and University of Sao Paulo (Brasil), were I was appointed visiting scholar. At the University of Venice I was in charge of the organisation of the training courses for teachers of Italian abroad, and I have trained teachers in many different countries, especially North and South America, Australia and Europe. My PhD is in Linguistics and foreign languages pedagogy, and I'm interested in foreign language education, teaching culture, using mass media in culture teaching, CLIL (content and language integrated learning), Global English, teaching Italian language and culture, intercultural communication.I have extensively trained teachers in foreign language pedagogy, but I have also trained practitioners and managers in intercultural communication, international business communication, intercultural awareness, diversity management.
