I am currently a graduate student in the Masters of Social Work program at Rutgers University in New Brunswick also in the MSW Certificate in Promoting Child & Adolescent Well-Being. I am currently interning with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore which conducts outreach programs in low-income schools to girls who would otherwise not experience Girl Scouts. We have meetings once a month where girls not only spend time together having fun, but work towards earning badges and learning important skills and characteristics that come with being a Girl Scout. Throughout my college career, I have become involved in many organizations such as the College Support Program, where I am a peer mentor to Rutgers Students with Autism, and another mentorship program for children in foster care, where I mentored and drove a young girl to therapy at the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied Psychology. While these different positions have thought me each unique skills and experiences, they have all shown me that my driving force is services. This has been an important goal in my life since I was younger, and I am lucky to have continued this work in so many areas these past few years. I hope to continue this work of services throughout my professional journey, within social work, specifically with families and children.
