Elise is a dedicated and experienced Senior Specialist Dietitian at HCA Healthcare UK, with a strong background in various medical specialties. Since graduating in 2018, Elise has built a diverse career, initially working at Peterborough Hospital where she gained extensive experience in surgery, stroke, intensive care, and cardiac care.Elise then chose to focus on gastroenterology, honing her expertise in managing complex conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, liver cirrhosis, and coeliac disease. Her commitment to patient care led her to the Royal Free Hospital in 2021, where she supported COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit, providing specialized artificial nutrition support and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.Following this, Elise joined St Bartholomew’s Hospital, where she contributed to the parenteral nutrition team and the cystic fibrosis team, managing patients with complex needs such as pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy and diabetes monitoring. It was during this time that Elise developed a keen interest in oncology.Currently, at HCA Healthcare UK Leaders in Oncology, Elise works with a dedicated team to support patients through their chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine, and immunotherapy treatments. She provides personalized, patient-centred recommendations and delivers educational talks to other teams. Elise also collaborates with pharmacists to advise on supplement use and alternative medicines.
