Profile bio

About Elise Glines

As a master's prepared leader, I have spent decades in various positions in the medical field working with patients and healthcare providers, multitasking program management while conducting research and statistical analyses. Currently, I am a laboratory genetic counselor at Rady Children's Institute of Genomic Medicine, where I assist in helping patients and families end the diagnostic odyssey of pediatric rare disease through whole genome and exome sequencing. For the previous 20 years, my jobs centered in biology, medicine, and education. I coordinated pharmaceutical clinical trials, recruited applicants for top executive positions at hospitals and cancer centers, conducted research studies in neurology, used advanced analytical skills and queries to extract data for top-level decision making at the university level, and assisted in the data presentation and writing of UCSD's Magnet status award in 2012 and 2016. I am also an active duty spouse and have successfully assisted my family and supported other military families through many challenges associated with military life.
