I oversaw all internal communications from internal newsletters, to training guides, to talking points for the coaches. I reinvented the way analytics were collected and placed an emphasis on transforming the "voice" of coaches during workshops to appeal to younger audiences. I was in this role until the company was sold and the entire staff was laid off.

I assisted with video and graphic creation while at TechnologyAdvice. I used Adobe Suite applications to edit videos and create high quality images and social media videos to share corporate messaging in an engaging way. I also wrote video scripts, storyboards and published articles, which pushed the content creation goal further along. Additionally, I edited articles submitted by freelancers to align with the company’s voice and applied SEO to increase reach of content.

I managed both Livonia and Brighton store’s social media accounts. I kept customers informed on new products, engaged with the target audiences to build rapport and shared customer and employee stories. I created the social copy and graphics that accompanied each post and analyzed the reach of each post. Additionally, I implemented an employee recognition program to decrease turnover rate by 15 percent. I also streamlined stocking processes to decrease wasted space and cut employee-related costs, communicated with customers and dissolved complaints/disputes while managing a team of 15 plus employees.

My main focus while at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan was public relations. I brainstormed newsworthy media segments and wrote the talking points for those segments. I also wrote numerous blog posts on various topics and contributed content pieces that were distributed to local news outlets. I extracted insights based on social media analytics I gathered and created media advisories, briefing documents and press releases.

In this role I wrote news releases, media advisories and briefing documents for a variety of the agency's clients. I created content for the agency's blog platform and social media posts to direct traffic to the website. I also researched and created tailored media lists for each client, as well as documenting each piece of coverage the clients gained.
