PEACE OUTside Campus is a nonprofit organization dedicated at providing students with the tools necessary to be more proactive with personal safety when transitioning to college. I was responsible for the development and management of two safety awareness education programs; one focused on students and the other geared towards parents. It was my job to build relationships with School Administrators, Parent Organizations, and Colleges to schedule these sessions. I recruited, trained, and managed a team of college interns, and together, we presented these programs at 35 schools and reached over 5,000 students and parents. Accomplishments:- Recruited, trained, and supervised 3 groups of 12 college interns, doubling previous intern recruitment levels.- Created the 8 week intensive training program, exposing college interns to not only the content of the program, but current events, laws and statistics relating to campus crimes, discussions with experts in the field, and guidance on public speaking.- Awarded 2 grants from the Thomas & Agnes Carvel Foundation - Dec. 2015 & 2016. Drafted grant proposal and grant reporting for both years. - Assisted in planning and execution of annual fundraising events: 5k Run and Gala. Responsible for donor engagement: drafting communications, outreach, and gift processing and acknowledgment. - Panel Member at the YWCA's Fall Symposium on Combating Sexual Assault on College Campuses.- Presenter at the Town/Gown Summit on Student Housing and Safety at State University of New York-Buffalo.

My role as a Community Outreach Intern at the District Attorney's Office of Worcester County was to support the Assistant District Attorney with community education presentations for over 100 county communities. We held presentations for elementary and high school students pertaining to bullying, "sexting," and distracted driving. We also conducted outreach to the elderly community on topics of elder fraud and financial exploitation. I also assisted at state-wide conferences with over 3,000 attendees; including the Massachusetts Teachers Association: Stand Up to Bullying and Managing Threatening Situations & Creating Safe School Climates.

As Office Assistant for the Health Education and Alcohol/Drug Prevention Office, I was responsible for managing the office calendar for nine staff members, including the Director of the Health Education Office. I created informational brochures and designed presentations for dispersement amongst the student body. I was responsible for maintaining confidential student records and disciplinary files. I also oversaw completion of the mandatory alcohol awareness program, AlcoholEdu, for all incoming freshman in 2011 and 2012.
