I worked the Christmas Season at Lapland (UK) Ltd, helping the company achieve its objective of celebrating the wonderment and belief in Father Christmas.

I managed the day to day running of the Community Centre, ensuring that it ran efficiently, made profit and met the recreational, educational and social needs of the community.I was responsible for "show arounds" and selling the facilities to potential hirers. I also created an induction programme which covered statutory health & safety requirements and signed up regular hirers to the Community Centre.I mainly worked independently, using my own initiative, generating invoices to cover hall hire and monthly reports for the Centre Trustees and Councillors, bringing urgent issues to their attention that would potentially impact on the smooth running of the centre. I was responsible for ensuring that the Community Centre was a safe environment, by testing fire alarms on a weekly basis, emergency lighting and water testing on a monthly basis, arranging PAT testing and boiler and fire extinguisher servicing on a yearly basis, in addition to ensuring that fire practices were undertaken twice yearly.I am proficient in the use of Outlook, Word and Excel.
