Senior Recruitment ConsultantTalent X - The People Agency Jan 2022 - Aug 2022Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaMy background in recruitment, candidate interviewing, hiring and training hundreds of staff, meant that I was excited to take on a short term contract of Recruitment Consultant. Which is where I facilitated every step from start to end of the recruitment process:• Meeting/Speaking with the client to discuss their needs• Writing the Job Description, creating well written and effective Seek/Indeed Ad’s to attract the ideal candidate • Reading and shortlisting candidate applications • Setting up interviews, holding 5 to 8, 45 min interviews a day with the shortlisted candidates • Building rapport & relationships, to create trust and excitement for the advertised role • Sending and evaluating personality profiles, compiling an extensive 10-page report about the best candidates• Completing extensive reference checks and looking for potential lies & red flags to ensure we don't place a candidate who has embellished their experience or skill set • Continuing to build trust, injecting hope, and painting a positive picture to ensure the candidate does accept the employment offer Key Achievements:1. I filled 90% of roles within 3-4 weeks from job ad to signing the contract. 2. I was the company's highest performer in the recruitment section in April, May, June 2022 (in July I had Covid) and my contract ended 6th of August 20223. I was not limited to a specific sector but hired for a broad range of roles, from General Manager roles to Personal Assistants. 4. I was able to write Seek Job Ads that attracted higher than average applicants. Due to my years of copywriting and marketing experience, I was and am very confident in my ability to write quality job ads for any sector. As well as interviewing candidates from all sectors.5. Helped create and launch a podcast about business.6. Wrote a 3-month marketing and PR plan to create brand awareness and a strategy for growth. -
Marketing & Operations ManagerQuality Lashes Pty Ltd May 2015 - Dec 2021Sydney, AustraliaI started my beauty salon/retail business in 2015 and utilised my understanding of Public Relations & Marketing as well as my strong communication skills to grow rapidly. I was able to swiftly grow my clientele and create a respected brand & online presence through my ability to network, build relationships, digital marketing, and sales. I utilised my passion for PR & Marketing to create a growth strategy, marketing plan & calendar, network and collaborate with other small businesses to create a well-respected brand and encouraged the local women to support a fellow local small business. I created a community and supported schools, mothers and struggling women by giving away free beauty services and vouchers for services 4 -10 times a year. Which created a lot of goodwill and support within the community. Within 2 years I had received 105 x 5-star reviews and 0 negative reviews. Within 6 years the Salon had 190 x 5-star Google Reviews and 125 x 5-star Facebook reviews. 2 years after starting the business, in June 2017, I moved into a big commercial 100 sqm salon on the famous King Street, in Newtown and grew the salon to having 9 staff by December 2018.As I grew the brand, I had to employ more and more staff and I learned more and more about hiring, HR laws, recruitment, staff training and development. I managed the recruitment process from end to end. Writing job ads, interviewing candidates, reference checking, employment offers and contracts, onboarding staff, induction days, continued training for growth.I utilised my previous years of retail manager experience to set KPIs. I continued to educate myself, attend yearly conferences and courses to further develop my skills as a manager. I created policy & procedures from scratch, then trained all staff in customer service, retail sales and understanding the chemical foundations in all beauty products and their effect on the individual client to ensure safe techniques and safety for both client & staff.

Retail Store ManagerT2 Tea Apr 2008 - Jul 2010In my time at T2 I was promoted from 2IC at Bondi to Store Manager at my own store in Chatswood within 2 months. This was at the time the worst performing store out of 18 stores nationwide. • Within 3 months I re-trained all existing staff, hired new staff and worked on getting my team of 12 to work towards exceeding the expected KPIs. Turning around low performance and becoming the Nr 1/highest performing T2 store nationwide 20 months running. • I exceeded the store budget every month by 15-31%. • I increased store sales by 31% compared to the previous year for the month of June ‘10 and +24% May ‘10. In comparison, all other T2 stores increased store sales by only 3 -10%, which meant we smashed all records. • Through my PR & marketing strategy + leadership, our average items per customer increased from 1.5 -1.9 items to 2.4 - 3 items per transaction. • Our average dollar-spend increased from $18 to $37, and my whole team consistently beat the averages of staff from other stores through their excellent customer services and sales. • Due to my innate PR & marketing know-how, I was able to innovate new ways to add on sales and create promotions that had never been done before and were later adopted by the whole T2 company and its 40+ stores. • In my 27 months at T2, I interviewed, hired and trained dozens of staff for my own and other stores. • My store and training generated 4 top Managers for T2, who started at my store as casual employees and went on to manage other Sydney stores for many years.
