During my master's thesis internship I used machine learning methods to assess the metabolic state of subjects monitored through a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) sensor. Specifically, I developed a classification system able to classify a subject as normoglycemic or diabetic/prediabetic based on the related CGM recording.

During this internship, I was responsible for the extension of a RESTful API compliant with the HL7 FHIR standard, to allow other informations systems to communicate with OpenClinic GA. OpenClinic GA is an open source integrated hospital information management system covering management of administrative, financial, clinical, lab, x-ray, pharmacy, meals distribution and other data.

During my bachelor's thesis internship, I was responsible for the acquisition and processing of the ballistocardiographic signal acquired through an accelerometer attached to the bed frame, to monitor the main vital signs during a person's rest. This internship was part of a larger project that was meant to monitor the health and living conditions of elderly people in care homes. I presented part of this work at the 10th Italian Forum of Ambient Assisted Living (Foritaal 2019).
