As a Master’s student at UCSB's Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, I specialize in the intersection of business and sustainability, driven by a deep commitment to environmental justice and impactful change. My passion for circular fashion and waste reduction has led me to explore innovative solutions, from studying textile-to-textile recycling processes to analyzing sustainable business strategies for leading apparel companies.In my current research on textile waste and recycling, I have engaged with industry leaders through interviews with experts such as Fabscrap NYC and Goodwill, gaining insights into the challenges and opportunities within textile recycling and secondhand marketplaces. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the systems at play and the importance of scalable, circular solutions.Beyond business innovation, I am also driven by an interest in policy, recognizing its immense potential to create transformative, large-scale impacts in sustainability and environmental efforts.
