Elise Krause is a co-founder of ePlace Solutions and an attorney licensed in California since 1987. Ms. Krause has engaged in a national law practice in Michigan and California with an emphasis on health care, privacy and employment-related matters. In her work as general (outside) counsel to one of California's largest mental health care providers and long-term nursing home facilities, she regularly navigated complex areas of privacy and HIPAA compliance including representing her clients in HIPAA compliance audits. She litigated one of the first CAN-SPAM Act cases and has also counseled and litigated on behalf of large financial institutions, internet service providers and ATM/credit card processors. In the employment law area, Ms. Krause has litigated well over 50 harassment cases, some through trial. Ms. Krause's practice included both compliance and litigation in all aspects of federal and state employment laws, including harassment/discrimination issues, California wage and hour issues, Title VII issues, Family Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and Americans with Disabilities Act, among other things. Ms. Krause drafted workers compensation laws in connection with her representation of California tribal casinos. Ms. Krause graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1987. Ms. Krause is an active member of the California State Bar. Ms. Krause holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
