I am a passionate, driven, and analytical student with lab experience in biophysics, microbiology, immunology and bioinformatics. As a third year student at the University of Rhode Island, I am pursuing a double major in Biotechnology (B.S) and Cell and Molecular Biology (B.S), with a minor in chemistry and a specialization in biochemistry. I have experience within multiple labs at URI through programs such as URI Science and Engineering, URI MARC U*STAR, and the Stanford Summer Research Program which have fostered my passion for biomedical research. I have gained a particular interest in the field of immunology, with my current research focusing the use of virus-like particles to synthesize a universal Influenza vaccination. With a continued eagerness to learn, I am an ardent STEM student with aspirations to continue my professional and academic experiences in the field of research in cell and molecular biology.
