I grew up leading an online community of over 200 people in the throes of the Wild West, the days of IRC that is. Reveling in the limitless potential of mIRC scripting, defending against frequent botnet infiltrations, DDoS and Doxing, it was a wonderful time to be alive. Though limited in defense during that time, I thrived learning from friends whose passions for cyber security were far beyond my own at the time. Their excitement and dedication to continuously learn rubbed off on my so violently that I knew I had to pursue a degree in cybersecurity. I forged on and graduated with a Bachelor's in Information Technology: Systems and Security. During my tenure with Gwinnett County Government, I honed my interpersonal savvy, mastering the art of multi-mode communications. A pivotal aspect of my approach was the commitment to not only delivering clear and concise messages to diverse teams but also making a conscientious effort to understand their unique needs. By tailoring my messages to align with the audience and the nature of the information, I ensured that our interactions were not just effective but also allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of their workflow, maximizing efficiency and ease of flow for both parties. This ultimately fosters a collaborative and harmonious environment. This ability to comprehend and cater to the needs of various groups underscores my dedication to building strong relationships.In my current role, I'm immersed in a hands-on journey, setting up an at-home lab to replicate a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. This real-world experience allows me to delve into the fundamentals of malware analysis and triage, explore tools like Metasploit, and navigate various operating systems such as Linux and Windows. My curiosity has led me to explore programming languages like Python and Java, while analyzing Netflow and utilizing tools like Burp Suite sharpen my skills further. I'm also gaining hands-on familiarity with AWS services and diving into the world of networking and firewalls.
