I help grow and supervise Counterpart's extensive women's leadership development programs, working closely with the executive leadership team on strategic planning and new business development. I support an incredibly talented international team to help advance equitable global partnerships with women's organizations and businesses, organizational capacity strengthening, and impactful programming in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe with support from the US government and private sector foundations.

I helped advance diverse women's leadership development and gender, equity, safeguarding and social inclusion mainstreaming initiatives across the organization. I co-created the FHI 360 Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Framework 2.0 and corresponding guidelines and toolkits and led hundreds of trainings on their use. I helped forge ground-breaking partnerships with women's, youth and disability focused organizations and helped expand the organization's portfolio with hundreds of millions of dollars in economic development, inclusive education and civil society strengthening initiatives. I served as technical lead to USAID to help create a Framework to Promote Women's Economic Empowerment and Equality (WE3) and as Co-Chair for the Coalition for Women's Economic Empowerment and Equality. I co-created a 200+ GESI Champions network, spearheaded an organization-wide disability inclusion initiative, co-chaired the women's employee resource group, and helped train hundreds of employees on innovative women's leadership, safeguarding and change management practices.

I served as a senior staff member at Women Thrive and lead the Policy and Government Affairs Department. I worked with the organization to achieve its policy goals in the areas of women's economic empowerment, food security, aid effectiveness, gender-based violence prevention/response and equitable learning. I helped build 2 new coalitions, focused on Gender in Development and Promoting Opportunities for Women's Economic Empowerment (POWER). Through coalitions, I helped move the ball forward on crucial US legislation - including the Global Food Security Act, International Violence Against Women Act and gender budgeting within appropriations bills - as well as on an equitable learning goal within the UN Sustainable Development Goals framework. I also helped build out Women Thrive's Global Partnership Network program, which included 120 grassroots groups from 33 different countries. I worked closely with the previous Executive Directors and Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives to secure needed funds to support our policy and global partner work. I also worked closely with the Communications team to build our U.S. grassroots base and social and traditional media presence. One of my greatest passions at Women Thrive was to work closely with our global south partners and support their advocacy capacity building through trainings, joint advocacy actions and ongoing relationship building. I also loved leading organizational trips to partner countries, including Haiti, Ghana and Rwanda.

I coordinated the ActionAid Haiti International Campaign on land and housing rights and served as an active leading member of the Haiti Advocacy Working Group. I worked closely with our grassroots partners and ActionAid Haiti staff to assess U.S. and international aid policy towards Haiti, advocate for significant change and higher aid accountability with USAID, the U.S. State Department, U.S. Congress and multi-lateral institutions and connect our U.S. coalition partners, Haitian grassroots partners and those living in poverty with key national and international stakeholders so that they can amplify their voices.

I led gender analysis of International Financial Institution grants in Haiti. Collected recommendations from over 30 Haitian grassroots and women's civil society organizations and co-authored and edited Gender Shadow Report in response to the Haiti Post Disaster Needs Assessment.

I served for 5 years as the Regional Organizer for Bread for the World in both the Central and Mid-Atlantic States. Worked with churches, denominational judicatories, colleges and community groups throughout eight states in order to build grassroots momentum in advocating for public policy changes for and with people living in poverty and/or food insecurity. I collaborated with the Senior International Policy team to help analyze and advocate for significant foreign aid reform focused on greater inclusion, equity and locally led efforts.

I helped develop a successful volunteer/activist program with over 300 participants to support VIVE's refugee clients and help lobby NY state legislators on key border legislation.
