About Elisha Johnson
I was a military spouse for 16 years before my husband retired and started a new career. After moving to different duty stations, including a four year assignment to Guam, and staying home to raise our children until they were both in school, I began college and obtained a degree in Graphic Design in 2018.I have been part of the team at Brown & Brown since April 2019, where I lead our communications team in employee benefits. Partnering with our teammates and customers to develop and execute effective communication strategies is the best part of each day. I have a commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to bringing new initiatives to the table. I strive for communication plans that will achieve higher engagement through cohesive designs across various mediums, all customized to each customer's brand. In addition, I lead initiatives surrounding veteran hiring: in 2024 we became partners with Hiring Our Heroes to assist transitioning service members into civilian careers. I have been a leader on our Veterans Teammate Resource Group (TRG) since late 2022. I also work with a summer internship program committee to provide college students an excellent experience in our office each year. I believe every student needs a stepping stone into their career paths, which is why I have mentored design interns from the NHCC graphic design program, and I have also served on the NHCC Workforce Innovation and Experiential Learning (WIEL) Advisory Committee.
